Hello Adlanders,
Only a few days back a dear friend wrote me and
I quote
“Oh
I love fall and the changing of the leaves and
crispness in the air. But mostly I hope you are
enjoying the quietness and the way we slow down
somewhat during this season”
So true right? It’s wonderful how the seasons
are designed for our comfort & pleasure, each
season having its own unique beauty! as the good
book says ‘A time to reap and a time to sow, a
time to be happy and a time to mourn……” yes
there is a perfect time for everything and fall
is one such season we enjoy !
Along with the lovely fall season I hope you
will enjoy going through this edition of what we
have brought you. I would like to thank all our
contributing friends who have taken the time to
write for us, we sure appreciate YOU!
We have here our 2nd
‘Tete a tete’ with Jeff O’Brien. Jeff as I
discovered is one of our oldest members!
He has been in
Adland since 2002…wow that’s a good ‘long time
‘huh? Thank you Jeff, it was a pleasure doing
this with you, and hope we will get to see you
more around the community.
With that said folks, as
always I invite you to give me your
feedback
and suggestions if any, sure do enjoy reading
about what you have to say.
Till next time,
May all prosperity be yours!!
We
can do no great things, only small things with
great love. ~Mother Teresa

Adlandpro Support Tips
|
|
|
Set up
an ad campaign!
Have you tried this?
Three ads, all with different headings and content in the ad body and all the contact and URL (web address) information is going to the same for each ad. Creating three different looking ads gives you three different appearances. What you have done is broadened the coverage with the viewers looking at the ads. Having one ad covering your product or services you provide is not going to get the job done.
If you have a single ad showing your product
with no other ads to support it, can produce
views and or sales contacts but it is a pretty
good idea to give viewers different options. What
appeals to the viewer in ad #1, they may not
find in the other ads and other viewers may be
attracted to what's in Ad #2 or #3 but not
in #1.
Remember any two viewers can be looking for the
same product and come across the same ad for
this product, one may react to it and one may
not, this is the exact reason there has to be
variety. This should apply to any type of
advertising method for example if you are using
banner ads, try two image banners and two text
banners.
The stats, information and feedback will give
you plenty of ammunition for marketing purposes.
Until next time,
Barry Scott

“
LoL”
Jokes from different countries. To start with we
have Roger from the UK contributing some of his
collections.
|
So are we ready for some
British jokes ??
Brought to us by courtesy of
Roger
Macdivitt
Note: The place name in this
joke is the longest place
name in Britain. It is a
welsh town.
Three tourists were driving
through Wales. As they were
approaching
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch,
they started arguing about
the pronunciation of the
town's name
They argued back and forth
until they stopped for
lunch. As they stood at the
counter one asked the blonde
employee, "Before we order,
could you please settle an
argument for us? Would you
please pronounce where we
are... very slowly?" The
girl leaned over the counter
and said, "Burrrrrr,
gerrrrrr, Kiiiiiing."
Sherlock Holmes and Dr
Watson went on a camping
trip. After a good meal and
a bottle of wine they lay
down for the night, and went
to sleep. Some hours later,
Holmes awoke and nudged his
faithful friend awake.
"Watson, look up at the sky
and tell me what you see."
Watson replied, "I see
millions and millions of
stars."
"What does that tell you?"
Holmes questioned.
Watson pondered for a
minute. "Astronomically, it
tells me that there are
millions of galaxies and
potentially billions of
planets. Astrologically, I
observe that Saturn is in
Leo. Horologically, I deduce
that the time is
approximately a quarter past
three. Theologically, I can
see that God is all powerful
and that we are small and
insignificant.
Meteorologically, I suspect
that we will have a
beautiful day tomorrow. What
does it tell you?"
Holmes was silent for a
minute, and then spoke.
"Watson, you idiot.
Someone has stolen our
tent!!!!!
"When William
Shakespeare went
swimming one day he was
obsessed with the notion
that moths had been
feeding on the back of
his trunks! He asked a
friend to investigate
and make a thorough
search. The friend
replied, "No holes,
bard."
An
English tourist is on
holiday in a Cornish village
when he spots what obviously
is the village idiot sitting
next to the horse trough. In
his hand is an old stick,
and tied to the end is a
piece of string
which is dangling in the
water. The tourist decides
to humour the fellow and
asks: "Have you caught
anything yet?" The village
idiot looks up and studies
the stranger, before saying:
"Aye, you be the seventh
today."
A woman woke her husband
one night and said, 'There's
a burglar in the kitchen
eating my home-made steak
and kidney pie!'
'Oh dear: said her husband.
'Who shall I call, police or
ambulance?'
Last night there was a big
fight in our local fish and
chip shop - a lot of fish
got battered!!

INSIGHTS
We will have a monthly guest writer
from Adland sharing their thoughts and insights with us.
|
This month we have a
contribution from Sam
Sunday
Most
people believe that that
ultimate knack for a man to
succeed and the desire to
accumulate wealth is, in
most cases, influenced by
the woman (or women) in his
life. This must have given
weight to the saying that
“behind every successful
man, there’s a woman” and of
course, the fact that most
successful and accomplished
men fall within the family
age of 30 to 50 years whence
they must have had immense
interaction with women and
probably influentially
infected in one way or the
other by them.
This fact is vividly
captured by Napoleon Hill in
his all-time-classic,
Think and Grow
Rich where he
explained that:
“Man's greatest motivating
force is his
desire to please woman!
The hunter who excelled
during prehistoric days,
before the dawn of
civilization, did so,
because of his desire to
appear great in the eyes of
woman. Man's nature has not
changed in this respect. The
"hunter" of today brings
home no skins of wild
animals, but he indicates
his desire for her favor by
supplying fine clothes,
motor cars, and wealth. Man
has the same desire to
please woman that he had
before the dawn of
civilization. The only thing
that has changed, is his
method of pleasing.
Men who accumulate large
fortunes, and attain to
great heights of power and
fame, do so, mainly, to
satisfy their desire to
please women.”
Napoleon Hill believes that
if you take women out of
men’s lives, their
attainment of success and
great wealth would be
useless to most of them.
This conception is however
contested by a few men
especially the young and
energetic ones. A young
friend of mine is convinced
that his desire for success
and wealth is mostly
influence by his wish to
make a name for himself and
leave a legacy behind.
Another is working so hard
to preserve his family name
rather than please his wife
or any other woman. Yet
still others say they want
to satisfy their family as a
whole especially the
children and not the women.
What is your opinion about
this issue? Be a bit
personal and tell us what
influences or pushes you
most, in your quest to
succeed in all your
endeavors and make wealth at
the end of the day. I know
most men will not admit that
they are easily influenced
by the women they prefer,
because it is in the nature
of the male to want to be
recognized as the stronger
of the species: can this be
part of the influence?
This question is not for men
only, the ladies are in even
better position to assess
their spouses and partners
and confirm or disprove this
notion.
By the way, if you’ve not
read or have a copy of
Napoleon Hill's book,
Think and Grow Rich,

MENTOR’S
MOMENT WITH MARY GUARIGLIA
|
Hello my Adland friends,
I
trust what you have been reading so
far has been helpful to you.
This
month we are going to deal with ……….
Red
Flags - They Have Powerful
Information For You!
Our afternoon Skills call the other
day was full of powerful information
about why you need to read your
company Policies & Procedures.
With 30 years in network marketing,
Michael Dlouhy has learned and
taught us the #1 feature you must
have in place for success:
Company Management Experience With
Integrity.
People ask me all the time, "How do
I know if my company has integrity?"
The answer is simple: read your
Company Policies & Procedures. If
you can't find them on the website,
it's a Big Red Flag. Some
companies say you can't read them
until after you join. Big Red Flag
Why
are they ashamed of their P&P's? Why
don't they want you to read them?
The P&P's are YOUR contract to be in
business with them - written by the
Company Lawyers! Every time any
distributor ever gets a termination
letter, it says, "You have Violated
the Policies & Procedures." They
never say you Violated "Terms &
Conditions." It's always "Policies &
Procedures."
Most reps never actually read their
P and P's. You need to do it ... it
may really open your eyes. At least
you'll know exactly what to look for
and how to protect yourself. Below
are some Clauses that show NO or
Very Little Integrity with the
Company Management. If you find any
of these, you should consider
finding a company with Management
Integrity.
Here Are Some Of The Bad Clauses:
BIG RED FLAGS
1.) We the company reserve the right
to cancel your distributorship with
or without cause.
Also could say your contract.
2.) You have a yearly renewal
contract. This goes back to # 1
Clause. In the event you have a
yearly renewal they can opt to not
renew it.
3.) If you have “ONGOING” or
“CONTINUED” anything, you can never
build it once, retire and walk away
and still collect your residual
checks. The key words here are
“ONGOING” and CONTINUED”.
4.) You have to give up your right
to a trial, if you are accused of
Violating the Policies and
Procedures.
And if these weren’t bad enough for
you, here are a few more,
5.) You are held responsible for any
family members who act as a
distributor in your behalf even if
they are not signed up with you.
Example: You are the distributor,
but not your wife, (it is not a
joint partnership), and your wife
talks to someone about your
products, services, opportunity or
company. She happens to say
something that is against the
Policies and Procedures, and it is
reported to the company. You are
held liable as if you yourself said
it.6.) You are not allowed to
advertise on the Social Sites or
Social Business Sites, and if you
are reported doing so, you have
Violated the Policies and
Procedures. This clause gets really
sticky, because personal messaging
people on these sites about your
product, service, company, and
opportunity is also usually a
Violation of your Policies and
Procedures. It falls under the same
category as e-mail.
7.) We the Company have the right to
modify these Policies and
Procedures. Once they are modified
and you do not like what they added
or changed you are 1.) given the
right to give up your
distributorship or 2.) Agree even
though you do not agree and continue
working with the Company.
8.) We the Company have the right to
change how we distribute the
products. We at any time can 1.) Go
to Direct Sales, 2.) Mail Order or
3.) Close it’s doors.
So what is my suggestion to you? Go
find your Policies and Procedures,
read them from the back to the
front, why? All the bad stuff is
usually in the back. And if you find
even one of these Clauses, BEWARE!
Why? It isn’t in your BEST INTEREST!
Now that you have finally read your
Policies and Procedures, you will
want to find out why they are bad
and not in your best interest.
