James Wright - Editor Adland Community Gazette

Hello Adlanders,

The month of February 2013 has come and gone already, and with it

there have been many challenges for me. I've been nominated to be
a Company Instructor, and am presently working on becoming a

Company Check Airman for the Learjet 20/30/50 series and have
been in special training for this, consequently my online adventures

have suffered a bit.

This month I'm featuring a gentleman by the name of Ken Wolff. Ken
has blessed the Adland Community since August 27, 2007. He's got
an interesting story to tell. If you are not friends, please invite him!

May you be blessed with all your activities.

Sincerely,

James Wright

I have written this in 2006 and James encouraged me to share it with you .

Let me tell you a short story

It was 1986 in Poland the year that two young university graduates were married.

These were the years of the post-solidarity movement in Poland, where martial law was introduced and people were given rations to live. The job market didn't make any sense at this time, because university graduates either couldn't get jobs or they could only work for a minimum salary.

The young couple decided to leave the country in search of a better life so they went to Germany where they spent 4 years looking for other destinations (Germany does not accept immigrants). During this four year period two children were born.

In 1991, they managed to arrange a one way flight from Germany to Canada and soon, this young family with two children (1.5 and 3 years old) arrived at the Winnipeg airport. They had only a very vague understanding of English and no knowledge of what they could do in this new country.

An employee of the church (which offered them help in the form of guidance and a temporary place to live), was waiting for them at the airport to pick them up to take them to a little apartment. This run-down building with old mattresses on the floor was already shared by several other families.

The family's father swore that he would never again do the kind of jobs he had to do during his four year stay in Germany.

He worked on construction sites, cut the grass, loaded and unloaded ships. In general these were very low-paying activities, which didn't make much difference in the family's life.

In order to receive better jobs, the father and mother decided to receive recognition for their east block education from Canadian Universities. It turned out that the University clerk couldn't pronounce the name of the University from Poland and decided that they didn't fall within the requirements of recognized educational centers.

After several failed attempts to get Canadian certifications, the mother and father decided to take some courses at a Canadian University.

The next obstacle was how the parents would pay for the university. Since they didn't have any money, there was one option only. The student loan.

The father got so interested in the courses that he managed to complete an entire 4 year computer science program within 2.5 years and got his first job as a programmer before his last semester was even finished. His wife got her first job around the same time.

Two years after they arrived in Canada, they both had well paid professional jobs. Soon the father got interested in the internet. He also started reading books from such motivational personalities like Tony Robbins and Brian Tracy. He discovered that the most successful people started from scratch. He started reading biographies of known personalities and other books teaching the power of mind.

Inspired by this, he started running his own internet business from his basement and within two years his home business was making double what his day job was making him. It was time to quit the day job and start working full time from the basement.

Well, as you might have guessed, that father was me, the mother is my wife, and those 1.5 and 3 year old kids are now two girls attending university. During all these years, I have read stacks of books, listened to various tapes and CDs and learned that everything that happens in an individual's life is up to them. They create their own destiny. Everything can be learned and understood, you just need to be able to realize this. I realized this when I found myself in a situation where I had to work twice as hard as others in order to get the same results. In all that, quotations and pointers from successful people were for me the required component to keep me on track and give me instant support and encouragement.

Reading these "two or three liners" was sometimes enough to get me over the hurdle and keep me moving. I trusted these words and I still read them daily. It helps me because each day of my life is full of surprises and new challenges.

Once you reach one level, then there is the next one which has so many unknowns. Again, you need to receive strength from somebody who was there before you.

So dear reader, enjoy these quotes in this little book. Learn from them and return to them often.

If you are already inspired, they will validate your feelings, if you are down they will start moving the blood in your veins so you can start feeling alive again.

This above text was used as an introduction in my book of motivational quotes in 2006.

Well, another year is in the books. How did 2012 turn out for you? Whether its New Year’s Resolutions For Adlandpro Marketers to help achieve your new years resolution was a wonderful year, or a trying one, it’s important to reflect back on it and make note of the lessons learned in order to improve for the future. And since the world didn’t end (thank goodness!), there is a future to look forward to. A common exercise at this time of the year is to generate a list of New Year’s Resolutions.
Perhaps you have done so in your personal lives before – I certainly have (despite the extremely low completion rate of my plans).
As I look ahead to my next year here at ADP, I thought it might be useful to share my plans to become a more effective marketer in the New Year.

So, here are 3 New Year’s Resolutions that I believe will improve your Adlandpro marketing in 2013:
Join 100 Friends Vote for Person Of the Week, Give your feedback to improve the community, Nominate your friends
These are the most important forums in the adlandpro Community.

Where do i go from here in adlandpro as POTY i ask myself. I will hold up my given Status as Adlandpro Ambassador to my best ability.
Check the Arvhives New Great Info you can use in the Adlandpro News Letter

Adlandpro is a great place for members new and long timers to gain much "exposure" to whatever there are marketing. Make a difference in the community set up a good profile of yourself.

Members that take part on the community activities have the chance for the highest exposure rate this is common in many communities take it 1 day at a time 1 friend at a time.

Adlandpro is not just a place to place classified ads it's a place where you can just come to forums talk and hang out with friends with your same hobbies and interest. Things like Sports, politics, cooking, art, and so much more.

Social relationship building is a proven reality person to person is one of adlandpro's great powerfull tools the power on a real live friend list of active members that see what you do not only for yourself but for others as well.
People have been nominated for POTY and POTW and do not accept this honor for it is an honor that i would never decline or just pass off to another. Adlandpro Person of the Year honor is the adlandpro golden ring and it can be achieved by any adlandpro member.
My main priority in the Adlandpro Community is to help our members to success and activity. We have our 100 friend Feature this helps new members be in instant contact with our most active members for help in this huge community.
I'm also working with Bogdan owner and staff in what will become the Adlandpro Game changer our Adland Credit Builder where even free active members will build Direct contact sends by building there adland credits.

You will see this become a reality in the community.
I well be working on how to set into play what I've called Sleep Mode.
Sleep Mode will help our members from wasting credit sends to Deaf Ears (inactive Members)
Weekly wake up emails will be sent to the inactive members to wake up and get back into an active place where they will capture Marketers messages and ads.
These Features are set up to help the hit rate if the mass sends by the members.
Plus and Gold memberships will be worth much more with these Features in Place.
I think this year we will adopt Self Nomination for our weekly POTW (Person Of the Week)
This will give everyone a fair shot to show there stuff and Brand themselves in Adlandpro
Bottom Line i felt i had something to say I've been in Adlandpro since 2004 and This is a great community for 90% of everyone that has internet and is looking to better themselves this is where to set up your Networking Home Base. There is a future for you in the Adlandpro Community.

Success in my Year 2013
Dennis Clairmont
