FROM
THE EDITOR'S DESK
Hello Adlanders,
Spring has sprung again, and
yes, even before its happening, mother nature's
been playing games with people's lives with a
vengeance.
This past week found me flying patients every
day, and yes, I flew over some of those very
Cumulonimbus Clouds called Thunderstorms that
created those tornadoes. I did get some good
shots with my cell phone camera, but have not
posted them anywhere yet.
I recently saw a post by a friend who shared
some characteristics of the eagle in flight, and
they say a picture speaks a thousand words so
I'll share it with you here.
Let us remember, as does the eagle, when times
become overcast or cloudy... to look up, and fly
above our troubles where the sun shines all the
time... on top of the clouds.
I've chosen a young lady by the name of Shelly
Hargis this month, to grace the Center Stage.
She was reluctant and bashful at first, but then
she decided she'd do it after all. Let's give
her a hand and show her some support by paying
her a compliment after you've
read her bio, and invite her to be your friend.
May you be richly blessed in all your efforts
this month.
Sincerely,
James Wright

How
To Get Started with Adlandpro Classifieds
Adlandpro is a very large website with an
advertising aspect in the classifieds as well as
the Business Networking community. Here are some
suggestions and tips I hope will help in getting
you started in the Adlandpro Classifieds.
Creating an Ad
When you click on the Ad Services tab, you will
see a grey button just below your name, "Create
New Ad". This will open a new window with fill
in the blanks; at the end you will be offered
three options with the last one being an option
to run the ad for free. This will place your ad
in the Classifieds for free as well as allow you
to enter it into the Traffic Exchange or other
promotions you have already purchased.

Campaigns
When you are advertising you want to set it up
like a corporate campaign.
Creating three different ads for one website,
each with their own unique heading and ad body
but going to the same URL starts to cover a
wider audience.
You can promote your ads with one of our
services or place them as free ads, the free ads
can be used with the Traffic Exchange and the
Impressions credits (of course credits have to
be purchased alone or as part of a package) and
please remember that the more ads you place in
these promotions the quicker you will use the
credits but you are also increasing the chances
of getting hits.
KEYWORDS
Keywords are words or short phrases that you
would use to assist the viewer in finding your
ad when they are searching the Adlandpro
classifieds database. For example: if you were
selling Telephone services you would want to use
keywords like; long distance, cellular, mobile
etc… This will assist the viewer in finding your
ads if they are doing a search of the
Classifieds and bring your ad closer to the top
of the search if they type in one or two of your
keywords related to your product or service.
Tutorials
These can be found under the “Learning” tab or
on this link:

Ad Promotion
You are never under any obligation to purchase
an ad package for running free ads, the idea is
if you are running free ads and you are finding
some success with the free ads promoting the ads
will take you to the next level of ad exposure.
You can look over all the services and packages
we offer by clicking on the “Advertisers” tab or

CENTER STAGE
Please Welcome:
Shelly Hargis |
|
Hello Friends,
My name is Shelly Hargis and I'm 45 years
old, a Mother of two grown Children, and
Grandmother of two grandsons. I was born
August 28, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio and grew up
in the surrounding area all my life. I've
worked off and on throughout my life doing
anything from fast food, dietary aid, Route
Supervisor for two newspaper companies,
working at The Nutter Center, where I
was able to meet and interact with
celebrities and music bands, and co-owned my
own small business for a short time. I am
currently furthering my education to start
my own marketing business.
I found Adlandpro while dabbling on the
internet one day about 7 years ago and
decided to join. That decision turned out to
be one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I've met some of the most amazing people
from all over the world and I'm still
friends with many of them to this day.
Adlandpro introduced me to so many
opportunities. I was a newbie at online
marketing and thanks to Adlandpro, I've met
some outstanding people who taught me
things, gave me advice and who took the time
to help me get started. With Adlandpro's
newsletters and articles, I've learned so
much from there and I am more prepared than
I ever would've been without the help I
received from Adlandpro.
The best advice I can give is to find a
legitimate product or service, and run with
it. Yes, you may have to invest some time
and money into that product, like for
advertising for example, but as long as you
believe in what your selling, then all you
need is perseverance and convincing others
that this product or service will be
beneficial to them.
I am currently in the process of furthering
my education in the business and marketing
field.
Thank You!
Shelly Hargis

Sales 101 - Probing
by John W. McGraw, Jr. |
Do you
want to increase your sales and add to your company's
revenue? Of course you do (that is probably the main reason
you became a sales professional to begin with).
Keep in mind, you can't make someone buy something they
don't want (even though that seems to be the universal fear
from the general population, regarding sales people), so you
have develop a need in their mind, for what you are selling.
One of the best ways to increase your sales results, is to
increase the amount of probing you do. The more you know
about what your customer is looking for, the more you can
tailor you sales pitch to their needs.
What is Probing?
It is simply asking questions of your potential customer, to
find out what they are doing now, or how they use a certain
product, or what they like about a product, or what they
would change about a product. Any questions that get them to
open up and start a discussion, so that you can learn as
much as possible about how to position your product for
them, in the best way possible. The more questions you can
ask, the better chance you will uncover problems they are
having with their present product or system. When you
uncover a problem, then you have just had them develop a
need in their mind. If your product can fill that need, you
have a great chance to make a sale!
Asking questions is the best way to gain the knowledge of
what is most important to them, but make sure to ask as many
open-ended questions (questions that can't be answered by a
simple yes or no response) as possible. For instance:
Instead of asking if they like the widget that they are
presently using, ask what they like about it, or ask what
changes they would like to make, that would make it function
better for them. If a customer tells you that they would
change the color from red to green, for instance, and your
product is green, than you have the perfect entry to show
your green product and make the sale. Of course, it probably
won't be that simple, but you don't know their hot buttons
until you Probe.
There are numerous reasons that someone buys something;
price, quality, status, desire, can't get from present
supplier, like the rep, company reputation (the list can go
on and on), but unless you ask your customers probing
questions, you aren't going to uncover what is important to
them (unless you stumble across something inadvertently).
Probing includes listening skills.
Keep in mind that asking Probing questions is great, but it
won't mean anything unless you listen to your potential
customer's answers. Make sure to give your customer time to
answer before you jump in with a solution to their problems.
That is a common mistake for sales people to want to show
how good their product is, but by careful listening, and
waiting, you might uncover other needs that you can address,
also.
You probably aren't going to be able to fill a need each
time you talk to a potential customer, but by utilizing
Probing questions, you have increased your chances of making
a sale exponentially.
